The new skate park located in Turnberry Park has been completed. The 4,500-square-foot installation serves the surrounding neighborhood. It was designed to enhance park amenities with beginner skate elements for youth and residents and have similarities to the Fronterra Park skate spot.

The new skate park located within Turnberry Park, which opened in 2016, will feature street-style skate features including:

• Rails
• Curved concrete ledge
• Flat manual pad
• Pyramid
• Boulder seating with a shade sail

City Council received feedback from residents in the surrounding area expressing a desire to have a skate spot in Turnberry Park. The Commerce City Parks, Recreation, and Golf department was directed to bring the project to completion. An application for the Adams County Open Space grant was submitted in July 2020 and a grant of $92,500 was awarded in December 2020. A Request for Bids was posted in late April 2021.
