Monaco Street will have a full closure from Highway 2 to E. 73rd Avenue from Oct. 9-15. This closure allows for the demolition of the old roadway on Monaco Street to rebuild the new alignment and create a safer intersection as part of the work on Highway 2.

Drivers heading north on Highway 2 should turn right onto E. 73rd Avenue to access local businesses. Drivers heading south should turn left onto Magnolia Street and then right onto E. 73rd Avenue to access local businesses. Construction schedules are subject to change and are weather dependent. Future detours and closures on Highway 2 are likely until the project completes in 2018. The widening project includes expansion of Highway 2 from two to four lanes between E. 72nd Avenue and Interstate 76 to provide a higher level of service, improve safety, increase vehicle capacity, and accommodate pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles.
