Tower Road will have a full closure of East 88th Avenue & Buckley Road starting May 1-15, weather permitting. This closure will allow for the construction of the East 88th Avenue and Tower Road intersection. 

Drivers heading north on Tower Road should turn left on E. 96th Ave. Drivers heading south on Tower road should turn right onto E. 96th Ave. Drivers should plan ahead, pay attention to signs and expect delays during peak traffic hours. Future detours and closures along the Tower Road corridor are likely until the project completes in December 2017. The Tower Road widening project is one of five projects in the city’s voter-approved capital improvement program. Elements include widening Tower Road to two lanes in each direction between E. 80th and E.103rd avenues, providing a dedicated bicycle lane on the west side of the roadway, improving drainage and moving overhead utilities underground.
